CHICAGO, IL (Dec 3, 2024) 鈥 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Chicago State University (海角社区) have partnered to promote careers in environmental science and engineering, also known as STEM, to boost research efforts and reach students from diverse backgrounds.
鈥淔ostering partnerships with institutions of higher education and raising awareness of environmental careers and research is a vital part of EPA鈥檚 mission to protect human health and the environment,鈥 said EPA Regional Administrator Debra Shore. 鈥淭hese efforts also deepen our connections with local communities and help us work together to address environmental issues.鈥

The partnership, made official through a memorandum of understanding, will provide students with information about various environmental career pathways. Students will gain insights in areas such as environmental science, engineering, and sustainability.
